We want to encourage each other to lose weight, exercise and eat healthy. Putting your money where your mouth is may help us to stick with the program. Some people exercise and eat right (most of the time) and still can’t seem to lose weight. Therefore, we will use a point system that rewards good behavior as well as weight loss. The main objective is to get healthier and have fun!!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each entrant will compete against other contestants with a goal of losing body weight, getting healthier, developing good habits and having fun at the same time. Every participant who achieves ___ points by the end of the contest period will automatically win a portion of the jackpot (or the entire jackpot if there are no other winners). Weight loss will be measured by the percentage of the beginning body weight.
WHO CAN PLAY?
In order to play, you need to agree to the following rules:
1. You must pay the initial $10.00 entry fee and $5 monthly jackpot fee. We will begin on January 16 and payment of $15 will be due the 15th of each month for the next month through July 15th. In other words you pay on January 16th for January 16-Feb 15, then on Feb 15 for Feb through March 15th.The last payment will be June 15th and the contest will end on July 15th. Anyone wishing to join after the initial entry date must pay the fees as though they had been in from the beginning in order to be eligible for the monetary awards. Anyone wanting to join us without paying or getting any award is free to do so.
2. Your initial entry weight must be witnessed by another competitor in the game (this ensures the integrity of all players).
3. Participants must be a Roberts family member or must be invited to participate by a family member.
HOW DO YOU WIN?
Everyone can win! All you need to do to win is to accumulate the most points. The biggest award will be paid to the highest point getter (presumably the biggest loser) and awards will also be paid to anyone getting more than __ points. Points will be given for exercising and staying active (for example playing with children, cleaning house). (See the attached list.)
WHAT DO YOU WIN?
The pot will be split among the winners. If there is only one winner, he/she will get it all! If everyone wins then we will split the pot evenly.
WHAT IF I DECIDE TO QUIT?
Should you choose to quit the game, you forfeit the entry fee and any jackpot payments made to the competition. There are no refunds.
